Iron Maiden ruled out of Download Festival 2012

Iron Maiden will not be appearing at Download Festival 2012 according to our sources.

Reader George claims that he spoke with the band recently and they crushed any chances of appearing.

“I asked Nicko Mcbrian from iron maiden last night if they would be playing Download Festival and he said they wouldn’t play it again as they don’t like the way it’s changed since it was monsters of rock ” posted George.

Tickets for Download Festival 2012 go on sale at 9am tomorrow morning.

So far Black Sabbath and Metallica are the only officially confirmed acts.
