The following acts were announced on the official website last week:

Killswitch Engage
NOFX
Shinedown
Black Veil Brides
Nightwish

They join headlining acts The Prodigy, Black Sabbath and Metallica with more acts to be confirmed over the next few months.

Slash, Megadeath, Rise Against, Steel Panther, Black Label Society, Kyuss Lives!, Five Finger Death Punch, Fear Factory and Periphery have all been confirmed as well as Yorkshire rockers Terrorvision, Ginger Wildheart, As I Lay Dying and Reckless Love.

The band are one of the first few to be officially confirmed for the event..

The other two headline slots have been confirmed as The Prodigy and Black Sabbath.

Tickets for the event go on sale tomorrow at 9am, so make sure you have your browser and your credit card ready!

“We have chosen to headline Download Festival as our only uk festival show next year,” the band said on the Facebook account, ruling them out of a slot at Leeds Festival, which had looked like it was on the cards.

The band join Metallica and Black Sabbath to complete the headliners for this year.
